What is Quidditch?
Quidditch is a co-ed internationally recognized sport where two teams of seven players each mounted on “brooms” play on a hockey rink-sized pitch to try to score the most points and catch the snitch.

How do you play if you can’t fly?
We run around on the ground with PVC pipe decorated “brooms” between or legs… it’s not that weird.

How do I join?
We don’t hold try-outs. All you need to do is show up to a practice in athletic attire, water, and a willingness to run laps.

Where/when do you practice?
During the fall and spring semesters we practice on the field in between the Music and theater building on Tues & Thurs from 6-8pm.

Where are tournaments held?
Tournaments are held at various Florida universities as well as some out of state in the Carolinas.

Do I have to be a student at UCF?
Yes. Unfortunately we are limited to only having UCF students play with us competitively. Though, we do encourage fans from everywhere to come out to our practices.

Do you guys just run around on brooms all the time?
Well… yes, pretty much. Though it also includes throwing quaffles, bludgers, and tackling other players.

How do I get in touch with you?
You can email us at CFQuidditch@gmail.comTweet us. or check out or facebook page.

Is It just a bunch of Harry Potter nerds?
Nope, we have members of the team who haven’t ever read Harry Potter and just want to play competitive sports.
